Terms of Service

Welcome to Paylio. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Paylio platform, website at paylio.pro, APIs, SDKs, embeddable widgets, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Paylio is operated by Paylio ("we", "us", or "our"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using Paylio, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Your Account

To access most features of the Service, you need to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure and confidential.
  • All activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it.
  • Notifying us promptly at support@paylio.pro if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that show signs of unauthorized use.

3. The Service

Paylio is a subscription billing platform that lets developers create, manage, and embed subscription plans without writing billing logic. The Service includes:

  • A dashboard for creating and configuring subscription plans, pricing, and entitlements.
  • APIs and SDKs (Python, Node.js, Go, Rust) for integrating subscription management into your applications.
  • Embeddable checkout widgets and pricing displays.
  • Payment gateway routing through supported providers (currently Stripe and Razorpay).
  • Webhook delivery for subscription lifecycle events.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that affect your use.

4. Plans and Billing

Paylio offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. The free tier includes limited usage (up to 100 subscribers and 2 projects). Paid plans unlock higher limits and additional features.

  • Pricing. Current pricing is displayed on our pricing page. Prices are in USD unless otherwise stated and do not include applicable taxes.
  • Billing cycle. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, depending on your selection. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. After cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods.
  • Price changes. We may change our prices with at least 30 days' notice. The new price will apply at the start of your next billing cycle after the notice period.

5. Payment Processing

Paylio itself does not process payments directly. Payments for your end customers are processed through third-party payment providers (Stripe, Razorpay, or others we may support in the future). Your use of these providers is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

You are responsible for maintaining valid payment gateway credentials in your Paylio account and for complying with the terms of your payment providers.

6. Your Responsibilities

When using Paylio, you agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Not use the Service to process payments for illegal goods, services, or activities.
  • Keep your payment provider credentials and API keys secure. Do not share or expose them publicly.
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through automated requests that exceed reasonable limits.
  • Provide accurate information in your account and keep it up to date.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Paylio and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any content, data, or configurations you create through the Service (such as plan definitions or entitlement rules). You grant us a limited license to host and process this content solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in that policy.

You are responsible for how you collect and use your own end customers' data through the Service. You must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws in your jurisdiction (such as GDPR, CCPA, or India's DPDP Act).

9. Availability and Support

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Support is provided via email at support@paylio.pro. Response times may vary depending on your plan.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paylio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of revenue, profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may close your account from your dashboard settings or by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or legitimate business purposes.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, India.
